Our Story

My name is Kenji Niyokindi, and I am the founder of Greenbox Analytics, a data consulting service dedicated to helping record labels and artist teams optimize their strategies through data-driven decision-making. With a deep passion for both music and data, I have always been intrigued by how the two can be effectively integrated to unlock new opportunities for artists and industry professionals.

 

 

My journey in this space began with my work as a Music Data Analyst at Warner Music Canada and Wax Record, a Toronto-based indie label. These experiences exposed me to the immense potential of data in the music industry, but more importantly, they highlighted a critical gap—many independent labels and artist teams lack the expertise to fully harness data for strategic growth. Whether it’s understanding audience demographics, optimizing release strategies, or improving marketing efficiency, data remains an underutilized asset in the independent music sector.

This realization led to the creation of Greenbox Analytics, a consulting service designed to bridge this gap by providing actionable insights tailored to the unique needs of artists and labels. By leveraging analytics, we help industry professionals make informed decisions, enhance audience engagement, and ultimately drive sustainable growth. Our mission is to empower artists and their teams with the tools and knowledge they need to thrive in an increasingly data-driven industry.
